VICE NL wanted to create merchandise. Just logo’s on shirts. Rik and I found that unacceptable and were 3 hours to come up with something else. In the end we kept defending the proposals for 5 days straight. Everything was better than just Logos on shirts.

The capsule collection is inspired by the festival season. It all started with the copy: Vreselijk Genieten which translates loosely to Terrible Enjoyment. It explains the juxtaposition of the festival season perfectly. At least in dutch it does. To emphasise this we added melted faces, token strips and audio waveforms which are all deformed into a blurry mess.

The models for the actual shoot (2nd slideshow) are Bokoedro, DRKNGHTS Collective, Gotu Jim and S10.
